Inspired by Hobart's iconic Mt Wellington, the name YAMASHITA translates from Japanese meaning "below the mountain".
We strive to express Hobart in our restaurant, incorporating the Tasman Bridge in our logo and in our food by combining local produce with Japanese cooking methods to delight our plates.

Villino was established in 2007 and quickly became a key influencer of the specialty coffee scene in Tasmania.
After opening the Villino cafe it was a natural progression to want more control over our coffee. This meant opening our coffee roastery in 2009 with a 5kg Probat coffee roaster and a couple bags of beans. We quickly built a great following in Hobart and our wholesale business took off. Our 5kg Probat remains part of the lineup, but it now sits alongside it's bigger 12kg and UG22 siblings.
